It works great with English and Chinese, including sentences that mix both. Punctuation and grammar are tidied up automatically, so the text that lands in your app reads clean — no cleanup pass needed.
Yes. If you can type there, you can talk there — your code editor, terminal, chat apps, email, the browser. There is no app to open first; just press the key from whatever window you are in.
You choose. With the hosted engine, your audio is processed on our servers and is not kept long term (see our Privacy Policy). Bring your own key and your voice and text stay on your machine. Either way, Lisper is open source, so anyone can check how it works.

English and Chinese come first, including mixed speech in a single sentence. Other major languages — Spanish, French, German, Russian, Portuguese — work on a best-effort basis, with more coming as people ask for them.
You can start for free: two hours of hosted voice typing every month, or bring your own key and use Lisper free with no monthly limit. Paid plans are coming soon for people who want more hosted time.
For the free hosted tier, you sign in with Google. If you bring your own key, no account is needed — install it and start talking right away.
Yes to both. Lisper is open source, and the bring-your-own-key mode runs entirely on your own account, so your data never passes through our servers.
